Ingredients:
2 cups All purpose flour
4 tsps Baking powder
½ tsp Salt
¼ cup Cubed unsalted butter, shortening or Earth Balance vegan butter
1 cup Milk of your choicea
Directions:
1. Sift the first 3 ingredients and add the cubed fat of your choice.
2. Blend the fat with the flour mixture with a pastry cutter or a food processor (pulse) until you have oatmeal like mixture.
3. Add milk to the flour mixture in the food processor or by hand with a fork until the dough comes together. With your hands make a ball of dough.
4. On a floured surface, knead delicately the dough until it holds together and avoid handling the dough for too long. Flatten dough into a 1 inch to 2-inch-thick disc. Using a mason jar lid, make circles in the dough and place them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
5. Make circles until all the dough has been used. Use a pastry brush to brush the surface with milk
6. Cook at 450F for 12-15 minutes or until biscuits are brown on the bottom and slightly golden on top.
Let the biscuits cool. Biscuits can be frozen once cool.
